I'm not operating as a business, so I have no session fee and no products to sell. Instead I offer a time-for-digitals (TFD) exchange.
I want to work with imaginative people who appreciate photography. People who will bring as much energy and consideration to a session as I do. My service may be free, but my time is still valuable. I pour my heart into what I do and ask the same of everyone who books with me.
In return you'll receive unique, hand-crafted images (in digital format) to print out and put in your albums or hang on your walls. Portraits you can share with friends and pass down to your children. And perhaps just as important, the memory of an experience you enjoyed that you can treasure for a long time to come.
The type of work I like to create is called Lifestyle portraiture. This isn't just about getting a handful of images, it's an experience. It's you and I making a connection and working together to create images which authentically represent you or your family. It's not about studio backdrops, generic props or stiff poses. In fact it's nothing strictly planned. I shoot on-location, using only natural light. So you might say lifestyle portraiture is like a choose-your-own-adventure book!
I like photographing families, couples, kids and unique individuals. I'm drawn to personalities who express themselves in atypical ways. Sometimes I don't even know exactly what that is until I see it, but it's almost always about expression, gesture or light. I'm especially intrigued by those who don't necessarily follow life's conventions.
